AS expected, Warrington Wolves will welcome James Harrison, Jordy Crowther and Matty Ashton back into their side for Hull KR’s visit on Thursday.
Their returns are the only three changes to The Wire’s 21-man squad, but head coach Sam Burgess insists there are players within that group who are “50-50” to play in Round 11.
Forwards Harrison and Crowther were both rested for Friday’s 24-6 victory over Hull FC while winger Ashton has missed the past two games with a toe injury.
Prop Joe Bullock and youngsters Cai Taylor-Wray and Tom Whitehead are the players to drop out, but Burgess hinted there were more injury doubts although he would not be specific.
“We’re not too sure yet,” he said when asked if his team selection was as simple as Harrison, Crowther and Ashton slotting back in.
“There’s still a couple of 50-50s that we’ll probably know more about on the morning of the game.
“We’ll have to wait and see.”
Both sides have Challenge Cup semi-finals to look forward to next weekend, with Warrington facing Huddersfield on May 19 24 hours after Rovers take on Wigan Warriors for a place at Wembley Stadium.
When asked whether or not he had considered changes this week with that game in mind, however, Burgess’ reply was curt.
“No. It’s full steam ahead," he said.
"It's not in my mind and I doubt it's in Willie's (Willie Peters, Hull KR head coach). It's all business on Thursday night"
