WARRINGTON Wolves have confirmed their 21-man squad for the first Super League game of 2024.

New head coach Sam Burgess’ first competitive selection includes new signings Lachlan Fitzgibbon, Zane Musgrove and Sam Powell for what would be their Super League debuts for The Wire, while homegrown youngster Arron Lindop is in contention for his senior bow having also been included in the travelling party.

The squad flew out to Perpignan yesterday and will train in France tomorrow ahead of the clash at the Stade Gilbert Brutus on Saturday evening.

> A key absence from an otherwise strong-looking Catalans squad

However, there is no place for another new addition in Brad Dwyer while Burgess also has several injury concerns to ponder.

He is without new signing Rodrick Tai and prop Joe Bullock (both knee), second rower Matty Nicholson (groin) and young front-rower Luke Thomas (ACL) but club captain Stefan Ratchford is in contention having overcome a calf issue.

Having missed both pre-season friendlies to clear a four-match ban that was still active from last season, prop Paul Vaughan is available to return while Toby King looks set to play his first Super League game for Warrington since June 2022.
