LEIGH Leopards have confirmed their squad for their pre-season clash with Warrington Wolves tomorrow.

Head coach Adrian Lam has followed counterpart Sam Burgess in naming his strongest available side as the Challenge Cup holders visit The Halliwell Jones Stadium for Joe Philbin's Testimonial match.

Their selection includes no fewer than eight of Philbin's former Warrington teammates, meaning just over a quarter of the players that will potentially be on show for the Leopards have represented The Wire at some point in their careers.

Gareth O'Brien, Josh Charnley, Robbie Mulhern, Jack Hughes, Matt Davis and Keanan Brand are all named as are youngsters Jacob Gannon and Jack Darbyshire, neither of whom made a first-team appearance in primrose and blue before departing.

Leigh will also have their stand-out new signing on show in former Australia international Matt Moylan for what is their first and only friendly match before the Super League season kicks off.

The Wire confirmed their starting line-up and substitutes earlier in the week, with Burgess naming what appears to be his strongest available team.

Paul Vaughan misses the game to complete the four-match ban that finished his 2023 campaign early while injury rules Stefan Ratchford, Matty Nicholson, Joe Bullock and new signings Rodrick Tai and Wes Bruines out of contention.

Tickets for the game are understood to be selling well, aided by more than 2,000 tickets being sold to travelling Leopards fans.
