AS well as darts, there is another great love in Luke Littler’s life – Warrington Wolves.
And last night, the club were very much present to cheer the 16-year-old on as he reached the World Darts Championship final.
Littler, who attends Wire matches both home and away, will no doubt have been delighted to see wingers Matty Ashton and Josh Thewlis turn up to greet him backstage, along with the club’s mischievous mascot Wolfie.
In the video posted of the meeting by the PDC, Ashton can be heard joking that Littler would be watching matches from a hospitality box during the 2024 season to which the teenager replied “I’ll be back in the South Stand.”

Littler went on to thrash Rob Cross 6-2 to reach the final where he was later joined by new world number one Luke Humphries, who hammered Scott Williams 6-0 in the second last-four clash.
After his game, Littler referenced meeting Ashton and Thewlis as well as the support he has received from his hometown.
“Just continue the support because I love it,” he said.
“Matty Ashton and Josh Thewlis came down from the Wolves and it was good to see them.
“I look up to them as I’m a Warrington fan – I watch them week in week out, so it was good to have them down from the club.”
"It must be pretty daunting for a 16-year-old to be up there on the big stage on his own," Thewlis said.

"When I was 16 I was still turning up to training feeling star-struck by everyone, but I had 12 other blokes with me on the field who I knew would be able to help me out.
"Somehow Luke seems to be taking it all in his stride. Any other person in his position would be quite nervous, but he's so chilled out and genuinely excited by it all."
Ashton added: "It's great to have someone from the town and so close to the club doing so well.
"Darts is a massive sport and the whole place is really rooting for him.
"When I was 16 I don't think I would have coped. I'm 25 years old now and I'm still getting used to some sort of media attention.
"What Luke is experiencing is something else and we're all so pleased for him."
Sadly, the Wire duo aren't able to stick around for the final given pre-season training resumes today following the Christmas break.
