JOSH Lynch made a try-scoring debut for his new side while Riley Dean’s impressive start to the campaign continued at the weekend.
Young winger Lynch has joined League One side North Wales Crusaders, who are based in his home town of Colwyn Bay, for the season and was in the side that opened their campaign against Dewsbury Rams on Sunday.
While the visitors ultimately left with a 38-18 victory, Lynch did at least cross for a late try in the game played at Widnes’ DCBL Stadium due to the Crusaders’ usual home ground being unavailable.

They will be back in Wales this weekend, however, as they take on the Royal Navy in the Challenge Cup second round on Saturday.
Meanwhile, half-back Dean was once again on the scoresheet for Featherstone Rovers as they made it three wins out of three in the Championship on Sunday.
He scored one of Rovers' staggering 14 tries in a 76-4 win over Whitehaven that took them to the top of the table.
The 21-year-old now has four tries in his first three games for Sean Long's side.

Toby King also made his full Wigan Warriors debut on Saturday but was part of a disappointing opening to the campaign for the Warriors.
King, who will spend the season at the DW Stadium, lined up in the centres for Matt Peet's side as they were beaten 27-18 at Hull KR on Saturday afternoon.
The 26-year-old did record a try assist for Jai Field but struggled in direct opposition to Rovers' Shaun Kenny-Dowall, with the New Zealander scoring a hat-trick of tries.
