AFTER watching their side storm to an opening-day win over Leeds Rhinos, Warrington Wolves fans were in joyous mood on social media.

A sublime first half saw them rack up a 30-0 lead at the break against a shellshocked Leeds Rhinos outfit and they went on to complete a 42-10 victory.

Here's some of what's being said by fans on social media after the game, starting with our 'Warrington Wolves - Warrington Guardian' Facebook page...

Heather Welsby:Β  Clinical, fast, dynamic Keep it up boys

Shazza Langhorne:Β The team spirit and willingness to work for each other was back. The little things that make a team into a team not a group of individuals. You could possibly argue who was the best player last night for us but there certainly wasn't a worst player on that park anywhere. Keep that spirit and we'll do alright. Loved Big Sam clapping and dancing his head to the South stand singing

Gareth Edwards: That first half was probably the best I've seen a Warrington side play in a decade. Ruthless defence and clinical attack. Second half was some pretty smart game management

Mark Leigh: Absolutely brilliant start. Keep it up and happy days are here again.

John Knox: Great win. Something to build on. Let's not get carried away its round 1 not the grand final

Mike Tress: What a difference a pack makes and players that want to play

Mark Lythgoe: Great start to the season. What a difference a good pack makes! All the new players contributed to a good win.

Stephen Herridge: Brilliant performance, fantastic team spirit and a dominant pack. Keep it up guys
