THE Halliwell Jones Stadium will once again host an England international in 2023.

In what will be their first game since their heartbreaking Rugby League World Cup semi-final exit at the hands of Samoa, Shaun Wane's side will face France in next year's mid-season international fixture on Saturday, April 29, kick off 4.30pm.

England's women will also face their French counterparts as the curtain-raiser, kick off 2pm.

Warrington Wolves' home ground has hosted England's past two mid-season games, both against a Combined Nations All-Stars side made up of Super League overseas players, in 2021 and 2022.

England and France met during the World Cup group stages, with Wane's men triumphing 42-18 at the University of Bolton Stadium.
