GEORGE Williams has been named in the Rugby League World Cup team of the tournament.
The Warrington Wolves half-back is included in the men’s 13 after an impressive campaign for England, who exited the competition at the hands of Samoa in the semi-finals on Saturday.
Williams is named in the halves alongside Jarome Luai – one of five Samoan players in the side.
Forwards Victor Radley and Tom Burgess are England’s other representatives, with Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Papua New Guinea all having players in the side.
Select teams have also been named for the women's and wheelchair tournaments, with all three coming to a climax this week.
