WARRINGTON Wolves have their first confirmed fixture for the 2023 Women’s Super League season.
The Wire, who were promoted to Group 1 after storming to promotion from Group 2 in 2022, will face York Valkyrie on Sunday, May 28.
The game takes place at York’s LNER Community Stadium and will bring the curtain down on the Betfred Championship’s Summer Bash at the same ground.
Lee Westwood’s side earned their place among the elite of the women’s game with a flawless league campaign this year.
Having won all 12 of their regular-season games, they saw off Bradford Bulls in the play-offs before beating Featherstone Rovers at the Totally Wicked Stadium in September to lift the Betfred Women’s Super League Shield.
York reached the BWSL Grand Final in 2022, losing out to Leeds Rhinos.
