ELLIS Longstaff will spend the 2023 campaign away from Warrington Wolves.
The second rower, who came through the club’s academy, has joined Salford Red Devils on a season-long loan.
There was a strong hint that the 20-year-old Yorkshireman was not in Daryl Powell's plans for 2023 when he was given squad number 33 for the campaign.
It had been widely reported that he was available for loan and now, it has been confirmed he will spend the coming season with Paul Rowley's side.
Longstaff made six appearances for The Wire during 2022 before finishing the season on loan at Hull FC, for whom he scored six tries in 10 appearances.
In total, he has made 14 appearances for the Warrington first team since making his senior debut in 2020.
The England Knights international is out of contract at the end of 2023 so as it stands, he may have played his final game for the club.
