WARRINGTON Wolves have unveiled their squad numbers for the 2023 season with some big changes for key players.
Perhaps the most eye-catching swap is that of Stefan Ratchford, who gives up the number one jersey he has worn since 2017 to Matt Dufty and moves to number four.
George Williams moves back to number six for 2023 with seven left vacant for now, although that number could be taken by scrum-half Josh Drinkwater if his rumoured move from Catalans Dragons is completed.
Josh Thewlis is given the number two shirt while James Harrison moves into the number eight shirt, with previous incumbent Joe Philbin moving to 15, and Matty Nicholson will wear number 12.
> What - if anything - can we learn from Warrington Wolves' 2023 squad numbers?
New signings from the NRL Paul Vaughan and Josh McGuire will wear 10 and 13 respectively, fellow newcomers Sam Kasiano and Gil Dudson to wear 14 and 17.
Young prop Bobby Shingler – the first player to progress into the first-team squad from the club’s Priestley College development academy team – is given squad number 32.
