TO many, he is seen as one of the great voices of modern rugby league.

Followers of the NRL will be familiar with the unique commentary style of Andrew Voss and as the Rugby League World Cup hits English shores, he too has made the journey to England to join BBC Sport’s coverage of the game.

His first call of the tournament saw him take in New Zealand’s clash with Lebanon in Warrington – a town that took him to their hearts the last time the World Cup was on these shores.

He chronicled his return to the town on his Twitter feed and it certainly got people talking as he revisited “one of his happy places in the rugby league world.”
