WARRINGTON Wolves have confirmed the imminent departures of four more players.

It has been confirmed that skipper Jack Hughes, half-back Gareth Widdop, prop Robbie Mulhern and versatile forward Matt Davis will all leave when their contracts expire in November.

Forwards Jason Clark and Kyle Amor were already confirmed to be leaving – the former is joining French side Limoux Grizzlies while the latter will join Widnes Vikings following the expiry of his loan from St Helens.

A presentation will be made to all of the departing players following tomorrow’s final home game of the season against Castleford Tigers.

Hughes co-captained the side to Challenge Cup glory in 2019, famously filling in at stand-off for the win over St Helens at Wembley Stadium, and has made 169 appearances for the club since joining in 2016.

He has been sidelined for the last four months after undergoing an operation on a shoulder injury but is in contention to return to the side tomorrow.

Widdop is also believed to be close to returning after dislocating his shoulder at Magic Weekend last month.

He is one shy of 50 Wire appearances and has touched down for 20 tries in his three years at the club.

Davis leaves after four years and 62 appearances in primrose and blue while Mulhern departs after two campaigns in which he has made 45 appearances.
