THE Halliwell Jones Stadium will be Josh McGuire’s home ground next year after his move to Warrington Wolves was confirmed.
The forward, who has been capped by Queensland, Australia and Samoa in the representative arena, will join The Wire for 2023 as part of head coach Daryl Powell’s extensive overhaul of the playing squad.
Unlike most NRL imports, however, his new home ground will not be completely alien territory for McGuire.
Back in 2017, he was part of the Brisbane Broncos side that ventured to England to take on Warrington in the World Club Series.
McGuire started in the front row as the Broncos were beaten 27-18 by an inspired Wire side.

The previous year, he was also part of the Brisbane side that beat Wigan Warriors 42-12 at the DW Stadium in the same competition.
