FROM today, Warrington Wolves’ preparations for the 2022 season start to take a step up.
The players will report back to training this morning following their Christmas break, and new head coach Daryl Powell will place full focus on implementing his desire style of play.
The group will be joined by half-back Gareth Widdop, who is back in the UK having spent time with his children in Australia during the off-season.
Later this month, the Wire squad head to South Wales for a three-day training camp before home friendlies against Wigan Warriors on January 29 and Salford Red Devils on February 4 – Testimonial games for Stefan Ratchford and Lee Mossop respectively.
All of this is geared towards their first Super League fixture at Leeds Rhinos on February 12.
