WARRINGTON Wolves missed the chance to go top of Super League on a disappointing night at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Indeed, it was visitors Hull KR who took the chance to hit the summit as they put an end to The Wire’s five-match winning sequence.
A poor first half proved too much for Sam Burgess’ men to come back from as tries from Sauaso Sue and Tyrone May put Rovers in command inside the first 20 minutes.
Matty Ashton’s try early in the first half threatened the start of a comeback, but that proved to be Warrington’s only points as Mikey Lewis and Peta Hiku added scores to ensure this would end up being the hosts’ heaviest defeat of the campaign to date.
