FOR the third time in a row at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington Wolves were edged out by neighbours St Helens.
Despite laying siege to the Saints line in the second half, the only time they crossed it was through Daryl Clark’s dummy-half effort just shy of the hour mark.
The visitors were able to hold onto the advantage given to them in a dominant first half by tries from Curtis Sironen and Mark Percival.
Then, Moses Mbye darted over from dummy-half to deal the victory and break Warrington hearts.
That came just a few minutes after Saints were reduced to 12 men for the final stages, with Jon Bennison sin-binned for blocking off a support runner from Connor Wrench's break.
