MATTY Nicholson marked his first appearance in Warrington Wolves colours with a glimpse of what might be to come.
The loose forward, who was signed from Wigan Warriors last week, touched down twice for the reserves in their 48-10 win over London Broncos at Victoria Park on Saturday.
Ellis Longstaff ran in a hat-trick of tries as he continues to press his claims for a first-team recall while Riley Dean also featured having been recalled from a loan spell with Newcastle Thunder, kicking two goals from five attempts.

London had led for much of the first half after Josh Lynch’s try had given Wire, whose head coach Danny Evans missed the game through illness, an early lead.
However, the home stretched away in the second half after Zac Bardsley-Rowe’s score edged them into a two-point lead at the break.
Jake Thewlis, Dan Brewin and Aiden Doolan touched down to complete the scoring and leave assistant coach Tyrone McCarthy, who took charge in Evans’ place, a happy man.
“Credit to London – the first half was a bit of a battle,” he said.
“I thought we tried to look for points by forcing the ball when we didn’t need to.
“We spoke about this at half time and in the second half, I think we showed more discipline and patience with how we wanted to play and once we got on a roll, we didn’t give London a chance to get back into the game.
“I think Danny will be happy with the players application and how the reacted to overcome the challenge that London presented.”
The next reserves fixture comes later this month – a trip to Newcastle Thunder on Saturday, July 23.
