LUKE Littler now knows who he could face when he returns to Alexandra Palace for the World Darts Championship.
Having catapulted himself into the nation's hearts by reaching the final as a qualifier last year, Warrington's teenage sensation is now seeded fourth for this year's tournament having won 10 titles during his first year on the senior tour, including the PDC Premier League and the recent Grand Slam of Darts.
As a result, he will go straight into the second round alongside 31 other seeded players.
The 17-year-old former Padgate Academy student will face either Ryan Meikle or Fallon Sherrock in the second round as a result of Monday's draw.
Sherrock will be a familiar name having made history back in 2019 by becoming the first female player to win a match at the PDC World Darts Championship by beating Ted Evetts.
She then went on to beat Mensur Suljovic to reach the third round before eventually losing to Chris Dobey, but has now earned the nickname "The Queen of the Palace" through her exploits.
Englishman Meikle pulled off a shock victory over sixth seed Gary Anderson during the weekend's Players Championship Finals before losing in the second round to Martin Schindler.
The full schedule is still to be determined, but Littler's second-round tie will be his only game before Christmas.
Should he progress, his third-round tie will see him face either 29th seed Ritchie Edhouse, England's Ian White of Filipino qualifier Sandro Eric Sosing.
