WARRINGTON Athletics Club’s highest finishing team in the English National Cross Country Relays were the under 17s women.
Imogen Wharton, Hannah Hull and Esme Heavy achieved seventh place at the Berry Hill Park event in Mansfield.
Wharton gave them a good platform on the first stage, handing over in 10th place in 9mins 06.154secs.
Hull took over for the second stage and kept the team in contention in 11th place with 9mins 51.972secs.
Heavey clocked 8mins 59.247secs as she completed the third stage in seventh spot.
Warrington AC were represented in six of the 10 races.
In the under 13s girls race, Grace Rashud, Charlotte Andrew and Lois Johnston Starrs finished 49th.
Evie-May Williams, Eva Hayes and Annie Noone placed 45th in the under 15s girls event.
It was a 47th-place finish for the under 15s boys Isaac McGuffie, Alfie Blizzard and Euan Lawton.
The senior women’s team was incomplete with Claire Andrew and Faye Lawton being positioned 60th after their two stages.
In the senior men’s race, Daniel Fox, Cameron Field, Jack Wadsworth and Adam Rashud came 44th
Two Warrington AC athletes took part in the Flying Fox 10 miles Road Race representing Cheshire in an inter-county match on Sunday.
Louise Blizzard finished in 73rd place overall with 1hr 9mins exactly, placing her 18th woman and second woman in the over 45s age group.
Second-claim member Georgina Walker finished in 138th place overall with 1hr 19mins 25secs, placing her 37th woman and sixth woman in the over 45s age group.
The Cheshire team finished in third place in the inter-county match against Staffordshire, Shropshire and North Wales.
