WARRINGTON Town manager Paul Carden believes that while his side need to move on quickly from Saturday's disappointing 3-0 loss to South Shields, he wants his side to reflect upon the manner of the defeat.
The Yellows dropped down to 17th in the National League North table as a result.
Tonight's game in Northamptonshire against Brackley Town marks the first of nine fixtures across three competitions in November for the Yellows, and Carden is tasking his players to step up as they aim to find a level of consistency heading into this period.
"You don't want (South Shields defeat) to fester, but at the same time, it's finding a balance between drawing a line under it and not forgetting the way that we've conceded," Carden said.
"You've got to react, you've got to respond and you've got to show character.
"We've got to strike a level of consistency because, in games, we look okay at times - some of our attacking play can be good.
"We've been heavily reliant on Connor (Woods) and he didn't have one of his better games (on Saturday), but he's always there, he's always brave and trying to get on the ball.
"But it's then someone else who's going to take his place - who is going to take the place of others when they might be off or maybe having an off-day.
"It's about consistency for people to fill in and not be dependent on certain individuals."
Defender Evan Gumbs is available for selection for the trip to St James Park after serving his one-match suspension for picking up five yellow cards.
Noah Halford and Dana Amaral made their debut from the bench during Saturday's defeat at Cantilever Park and could go into contention to make their first start at Brackley, where the action kicks off at 7.45pm.
The Saints, meanwhile, will be aiming for their third consecutive victory in the league, which would take their tally to 16 points from the previous six outings and a step closer to a spot in the top seven.
