JAKE Anders will aim to make the most of home advantage when the British Indoor Karting Championship Finals take place in Warrington on Saturday.
The 14-year-old from Burtonwood has reached the final stage for the second year running thanks to impressive form on a tough qualifying route.
He dominated the local final at TeamSport Go Karting Warrington in September, qualifying from the heats in first place and then being first over the line in the decider.
He was one of six from the 24 junior racers to progress from the town’s event to the regional final in Nottingham in October.
Again 24 drivers competed in the regional for one of the top three spots needed to reach the national final back at TeamSports’ flagship track in Warrington.
In Nottingham Anders was again in hot form.
He qualified in first place, was first in heat one and two, the semi-final and final, progressing to this Saturday’s showdown as the only Warrington junior to make the finals this year.
“We are hoping Jake can do better than his 10th place finish in last year’s finals,” said his dad, Phillip.
“I really think with an extra 12 months experience and home track advantage that this will be our year.
“We’d like to thank everyone for the support we’ve received.”
Saturday’s racing will start at 9.30am and will be streamed live on YouTube.
