WARRINGTON Rylands will have the services of Blackpool forward Jake Daniels for an extended period.
Daniels, 19, scored his first goal for Blues and received the man-of-the-match award in their 4-0 victory over Ossett United in the FA Trophy first round on Saturday.
Afterwards, manager Neil Reynolds revealed that the loan deal which brought Daniels to Gorsey Lane on September 20 has been advanced.
“We’ve extended Jake’s deal for another three months,” said Reynolds, who was delighted to have sealed a first home win since his arrival at the club.
“Jake’s a special talent and he was a little frustrated with his first two or three games, but maybe that was getting to know our system and whether or not he was going to get his loan extended.
“But you can see in the last couple of performances in particular he glides over the ground, he gets in one-on-one situations, he got his goal on Saturday and was man of the match.
“He’s going to have a big future in the game and what we’re doing at the minute is helping him on his journey, and he’s helping us in return. I just love working with him.”
Reynolds said he was pleased with all 16 players across the board for their performances against the side from one tier below in the Northern Premier League.
“I thought we were excellent from start to finish and it’s been coming,” he said.
“Since I’ve come in, the group has been outstanding and what they delivered on Saturday is another part of the ingredients as to why I’m enjoying working with them so much.
“It’s just that organisation, that belief, and on Saturday we got goals and a clean sheet so I’m delighted.”
He feels the squad is coming together as his and highlighted being in a strong position in that the victory was secured without the services of cup-tied Ash Leather, Cole Lonsdale and Dean Furman to name just three.
“The squad is developing, but we’re not finished yet. We’re not going to rest up,” said Reynolds.
“It’s one defeat in four games. We’re on a journey and I’m absolutely loving it.
“We’ve got another three home games on the bounce and we want to put a marker down and we want to turn this into a little fortress.
“The ambition is to go and pick up results whatever competition we’re in. We’ll give everything the same amount of respect.”
Next up, Blues host Skelmersdale United in the Liverpool Senior Cup first round on Tuesday, kick-off 7.45pm, before entertaining Basford United in the NPL Premier on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
