WARRINGTON Rowing Club achieved success in the Agecroft Rowing Club Head.

The 3.2km races took place on the River Irwell and threaded between the cities of Salford and Manchester, finishing in the iconic Salford Quays.

The event also featured crews from Chester, Northwich, Yarm, Trentham and Lancaster.

It was an eventful day with changeable weather, including the afternoon rowers having to deal with rain, hail and 40mph gusts of wind.

Despite this, Warrington Rowing Club came away with 10 victories ranging from the youngest under 14s rowers to the more experienced masters E squad.
