WARRINGTON Rylands have confirmed appointment of a new manager.

Former FC United of Manchester boss Neil Reynolds has agreed to take the vacant hotseat at Gorsey Lane and becomes the fifth man to permanently take the job in just over two years.

Reynolds is only recently out of work having left FC United after six years in charge earlier this month, with his final game in charge proving to be a 1-1 draw with Blues on September 10.

He replaces Mark Duffy, who left Rylands after just 12 games in charge earlier this week following a poor start to the season.

Having won just one of their first nine games, only goal difference is currently keeping Blues off the foot of the Northern Premier League Premier Division table.

However, they have had more joy in the FA Cup having reached the third qualifying round for the second season in a row following victories over Newton Aycliffe and Thackley.

Reynolds' first game in charge will be in that competition tomorrow as Blues host National League North outfit Scarborough Athletic.
