MARK Duffy’s short reign as Warrington Rylands manager is over.
Following a poor start to the season, the club confirmed it had parted company with Duffy in a short statement released this afternoon.
“The club today can confirm the departure of Mark Duffy as first team manager,” it read.
“We would like to thank Mark for all his work at the club both as a player and manager and we wish him all the very best for the future.”
Duffy took permanent charge at Gorsey Lane in the summer having led the team through until the end of last season alongside Dean Furman on an interim basis.
However, his tenure has lasted just 12 matches, the last of which was Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Bamber Bridge which left them second from bottom of the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
Two of Duffy’s three wins in charge came in the FA Cup as Blues reached the third qualifying round, where they will face Scarborough Athletic on Saturday, for the second season in a row.
