LUKE Littler has won his fourth televised title of an increasingly staggering 2024.

Warrington’s teenage sensation was in stunning form to take the World Series of Darts Finals title in Amsterdam, picking up the trophy after hammering Michael Smith 11-4 in Sunday’s final.

The 17-year-old averaged a shade below 103 to beat the St Helens man in the final, with Smith powerless to resist a run of seven straight legs won by the former Padgate Academy pupil.

"I'm just happy to be stood here with the trophy at the end of a long day," said Littler, a winner of two World Series events in 2024.

"I felt relaxed tonight and I played really well across the whole weekend.

"This time last year I was playing on the Development Tour; my name was getting mentioned but at the World Championship, every knew who I was.

"I'm going to keep building on this and winning more – it's a busy schedule coming up and I'm ready for it."

Earlier on Sunday, Littler was at his brilliant best to hammer home favourite Michael Van Gerwen by the same score, averaging just under 108 in the process, having earlier beaten Chris Dobey 10-7 in the quarter-finals.

His early rounds had been slightly less straightforward, and he even came perilously close to a first-round exit at the hands of Ross Smith on Friday.

The number one seed survived two match darts having relinquished a 5-3 lead, but he kept his cool to win a last-leg shoot-out.

That set up a meeting with Dutch legend Raymond van Barneveld on Saturday – a game he won 6-4 to move through to Finals Day where he went through the gears.

This weekend’s victory caps off a stunning World Series debut for Littler, having claimed titles in Bahrain and Poland earlier in the year.

Winning the Premier League Darts title at the first time of asking earned him his first major titles, while he has also claimed EuroTour victories in Belgium and Austria this season.
