WOOLSTON Rovers return to action after a three-week break when they travel to Wigan St Patricks in National Conference League Division One on Saturday, kick off 2.30pm.
Rovers head coach Liam Lawton said: “We were really disappointed with our performance against Crosfields last time out and the lads are desperate to put things right this week.
“Over the past couple of months we have played some really good rugby and we want to get back to playing that way on Saturday.
“We had a close game against St Pats at our place that we had chances to win but I know we are a different proposition now and will be looking to get the two league points that will get us closer to them in the table.
“Hopefully we should have a relatively injury and holiday free squad to choose from so we will go there with confidence.”
Woolston Rovers A entertain Garswood Stags Reserves in the NWML Entry Division at Monk Sports Club on Saturday afternoon, kick-off 2.30pm.
Rovers A head player/coach Craig Woolvine said: “Having won our last two games we are hoping to end the season on a high note and go into next year with plenty of optimism.
“It hasn’t been the easiest of times this campaign but we have had some good performances that will put us in good stead.
“We are looking forward to hosting Garswood. They have had some good results so will provide us with a stern test which is what we want.”
