JAKE Burton scored a six-minute hat-trick as Warrington Rylands bagged their first league win of the season.

Blues’ trip to Morpeth Town was deadlocked at 0-0 until the 77th minute when the former Tranmere Rovers and Chester striker turned the Northern Premier League Premier Division game so dramatically.

The 22-year-old, a 31st-minute substitute for Luke Porter, put his side ahead and doubled the advantage four minutes later. And it took him only another 60 seconds to complete his treble for a 3-0 win.

Having joined the club this summer and netted his first goal in the 4-3 home defeat to Ashton United on August 13, Burton has now tallied up four strikes in five games.

He scored six times in 27 appearances while on loan with Bootle in the Northern Premier League West Division last season.

Rylands have moved up to 17th in the table as a result of this victory.

On Monday they will host second-from-bottom Prescot Cables, who have two draws under their belt but are yet to win a game this term.
