WARRINGTON swimmer Kathleen Dawson has completed her first swim in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The 26-year-old former Great Sankey High School student finished fifth in heat three of her specialty event, the 100m backstroke.
Dawson, who came through the ranks with Warriors of Warrington Swimming Club, has missed out on the semi-finals later today.
The 16 fastest from the five heats go through to the semis, but her time of 1min 00.69secs was only good enough for 18th place.
She misses out by 29 hundredths of a second, while the fastest in the heats was USA's Katharine Berkoff in 57.99secs.
