WARRINGTON Rylands face a long trip to the north east on the opening weekend of the new Northern Premier League season.

New manager Mark Duffy's first competitive game in permanent charge will be a trip to newly-promoted Hebburn Town, who take their place in the Premier Division having won the NPL East title last season, on Saturday, August 10.

Their first home match will follow three days later as Ashton United visit Gorsey Lane on Tuesday, August 13.

The Hebburn game is one of two long trips to the north east in the opening month of the season for Blues, with a trip to Morpeth Town pencilled in for Saturday, August 24.

The popular festive fixtures see Rylands at home to Hyde United on Boxing Day - a fixture that will be reversed on Easter Monday - before making the short trip to Prescot Cables on New Year's Day.

Their regular season finishes with a home game against Morpeth Town on Saturday, April 26.
