HE might only be six-years-old, but Warrington’s Kalman Simon is already racing at national level.
In fact, the St Elphins Primary School pupil placed second in round four of the British Bambino Karting Championship in Rowrah, Cumbria, last weekend.
He is living his dream, is described as having ‘a fierce determination to succeed’ and wants to go all the way to the top and compete in Formula 1.
He has successfully completed his Motorsport UK ARKS test, qualifying him as a professional racing driver and making him eligible to compete in the Bambino racing class at national championship level in the Comer C50G engine category.
Kalman Simon on track for racing success His dad, Kalman Simon Snr, said: “He started kart racing in April 2022 aged just four.
“Kalman was always very fond of motorsports and Formula 1, and really enjoyed watching it on TV, and he asked if he could get involved.
“His development to be a race winner at such a young age has made us all very proud.
“He has got a bright future in the sport and has previously won several club races and has had some good results on different circuits around the country with podium finishes.”
Karting can be expensive business and help would be appreciated by the Simons.
“Any support to us, no matter how big or small the contribution, would be greatly appreciated and amazing for Kalman and his progress in the sport,” said Kalman’s dad.
“He is actively seeking partners to sponsor and assist with the development and advancement of his racing career.”
