WARRINGTON Town now know for certain when the fixtures for their latest National League North campaign will be revealed – and when the season will get underway.

It was confirmed over the weekend that fixtures for the 2024-25 National League season will be released on Wednesday, July 10.

That is a month before the opening day of the new campaign, which is slated for Saturday, August 10.

A number of key dates have been confirmed throughout the season, with the North and South divisions set to come to a close on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Festive fixtures will be on Saturday, December 21, with Boxing Day fixtures taking place as normal. Fixtures will be scheduled on New Year’s Day although clubs will be able to switch to New Year’s Eve if both clubs reach an agreement to do so.

In a change to what has become tradition, National League teams will no longer face the same side twice in quick succession over the festive period – last season, Town faced Chester away on Boxing Day and at home on New Year’s Day.

Next season, it has been agreed that Boxing Day fixtures will be reversed on Good Friday, with New Year’s Day fixtures reversed on Easter Monday.

Manager Mark Beesley will regather his Town squad for pre-season training later this month, with the squad set to be largely similar to last season although long-serving midfielder Sean Williams is confirmed to be moving on having joined Northern Premier League West Division side Bootle.

The futures of last season’s leading scorer Isaac Buckley-Ricketts and former Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom remain unclear, with both having been offered terms to remain at Cantilever Park, while the hunt for new signings continues.

A programme of eight pre-season friendlies has been confirmed, including home fixtures against Rochdale (July 13), Altrincham (July 20), Salford City (July 24) and Oldham Athletic (July 30) while season tickets were put on sale last week.

The club’s new home and away kits – the first in partnership with US-based kit manufacturers Capelli Sports – will be unveiled at a public launch event at Gravity Social in Time Square on Saturday, July 6.
