WOOLSTON Rovers under-13 team have made it to the final of the Alf Holt Cup after another successful season.
The team, which is called Woolston Warriors, celebrated a successful season last year, and were promoted to the Warrington Junior Football League.
Now, the team may face promotion again, as they are currently second in the league – with a game in hand and six games left to play.
The team have also made it to their first cup final after winning a close semi final against Ashton Park 2-1 on Saturday, April 6.
“It means the world to the boys, who have all worked so hard to make it through to their first cup final,” said Amy Walker, mum of Olly who plays centre back for the team.
“This is absolutely huge for them.”
The under-13’s will take on Cherrybrook, who are in the division above them, on Saturday, April 20 at Vulcan Football Club.
