TWO Warrington Athletics Club runners won medals in the North of England Cross Country Championships at East Park in Sedgefield, County Durham.
Jack Marwood and Oliver Davenport each pocketed bronze medals in their races.
Marwood ran superbly, finishing third in the under 17s men’s race in 18mins 21secs - just 13 seconds behind the winner.
While Marwood’s medal was not unexpected, Davenport produced a big surprise in the under 13s boys race. His fabulous run was timed at 10mins 28secs, only 18 seconds behind the winner.
There were more strong displays from their clubmates.
Imogen Wharton was ninth and Hannah Hull 48th in the under 17s women’s event.
Evie-May Williams and Grace Rashud placed 80th and 87th in the under 13s girls’ race.
Master athlete Adam Rashud was 116th in the senior men’s category.
