WARRINGTON'S Wolverhampton Wanderers footballer Luke Cundle has joined Stoke City on loan for the remainder of the season, the Championship club have announced.
The 21-year-old, a former Warrington Town junior player who made his Premier League debut for Wolves two years ago, moves to the bet365 Stadium after an impressive first half of the campaign on loan at Plymouth Argyle, where he scored five goals and contributed six assists in 16 starts.
The move sees Cundle reunite with Potters manager Steven Schumacher, who was in charge at Home Park when the player joined the Pilgrims last summer.
Cundle, who also had a spell at Swansea last season, told the club’s website: “Stoke City is a massive club. It’s a new chapter for me and I’m delighted to be here.
“I know the boss and his staff well having worked with them previously. I really like the ideas he puts across and how he gets his teams to play.”
While playing for Warrington Town Juniors, Cundle was scouted by Burnley and joined their academy system before moving to Wolves in 2014.
