ALAN Manual came out on top in the Padgate Floodlit bowls competition.
The Alford Hall player had a comfortable victory over King and Queen's Aide Denton 21-6 in the final.
This was Alan's third success in the competition, having also triumphed in 2011 and 2014.
He was always in control, bowling a short mark along the edge of the green, with Aide unable to continue his earlier form which enabled him to reach the final.
Earlier rounds were played earlier in the week leading up to the deciding stages when a full entry of 64 was reduced to 16 for finals night.
Alan's closest game was against S Glover in the quarter-finals, coming back from 16-10 down to run out a 21-17 winner.
Aide had a couple of close games, but his best win was against Carl Armitage in the quarter-finals which he won 21-20 after having been 20-18 down.
