GYMNASTS from the Urban School of Gymnastics in Warrington have been crowned British champions.
Izzy Hannibal, Lily Heather Maskill and Lacey Willington collectively won 12 medals, following a host of stellar performances at the 2023 Disability British Artistic Championships held at Lilleshall Hall National Sports Centre.
The event featured 60 junior and senior gymnasts from across the country taking to the competition floor across the men’s and women’s artistic disciplines in what was a showcase of talent from British gymnasts.
The trio’s impressive medal haul is made up of eight gold medals and four silver medals.
Izzy, 10, from Warrington competed in women’s junior competition A class and brought home gold in the all-round competition, gold on uneven bars, silver on vault and silver on floor.
In the junior women’s open class, Lily, 15, from Middlewich won gold all-around as well as on beam, uneven bars, floor and vault.
Lacey, 12, from Warrington also enjoyed success, achieving silver on the uneven bars and floor in the junior women’s open class.
