IT turned out to be a cruise for Donna and Kyle Chapman.
They were not troubled throughout the Festival Mixed Pairs staged at Padgate Tennis and Bowls Club on showery Saturday.
The pair defeated Jean Wanbon and Steve Jackson 21-5 in the final.
The winners had comfortable victories in earlier rounds over J and M Dickenson, S and A Brown, P Judson and J Chapman and in the semi-final Karen Galvin and Mike Spencer, who gave them their closest game at 21-14.
The runners up had wins over M and T Warburton, B and S Leyland, plus M Williams and P Birmingham in the semi finals.
The trophy was presented by Dave Hall, the competition organiser.
