GRAPPENHALL Sports under 14s football team have received their silverware from a stunning season.

The boys achieved the league and cup double in Mid Cheshire Youth Football League Under 14s Division One.

They are being rewarded now for years of hard work, with the player having been sharing times in the sport since they were nippers.

The team have been together for more than 10 years, all starting at ‘Saturday Club’ when they were aged only four.

They have experienced a lot as a team with some years of heartache on the pitch, but this year was their year under coaches Stuart Barnett and Simon Cowell, who have taken the team from strength to strength.

In the process of winning the double, they lost only one match.

Through the season they kept 15 clean sheets in all competitions.

The campaign was topped off by being invited down to the midlands to play Wolverhampton Wanderers academy.
