BOYS have been praised at a Warrington gymnastics club for their recent success.
Urban School of Gymnastics, Slutchers Lane, have been growing the men’s artistic side of the club for the past year.
And this month the club’s boys competed at the North West two-piece assessment plan competition, with all of them receiving merits and passing with flying colours.
Coach Emily Perrin said: “The boys work very hard every session and have started from our pre-school and beginner classes less than a year ago, so the results at the competition were a massive achievement and as a coach I am very proud of them and look forward to their future in the sport.”
Club owner Christina Duckers added: “It’s always a great success seeing children perform in competitions and achieving their personal goals.
“Last year we had only just started to build the men’s side but now have children working all levels including recreational, two-piece, and six-piece grades. Also we have a high-performance men’s coach working with our boys’ team, along with Emily Perrin and new level one coaches Lyndsey and Ky.
“So to see how much the club has built over the past year is incredible. And it goes with a great team of coaches, volunteers and parent helpers.”
