FOUR new floodlit, all-weather, artificial grass courts in Lymm Rugby Club’s walled garden - the new home for Manor Road Tennis Club – are now fully open.
Social tennis, a relaxed and friendly format for all abilities and available to all visitors, is scheduled from 1pm on Saturdays and 5pm Mondays.
From July 18, mixed league matches will also be played on the new courts. Competitive league and tournament tennis will be available throughout the year.
Coaching will start on the new courts from Saturday and a comprehensive coaching programme is scheduled for adults and juniors, including summer tennis camps for juniors during the school holidays.
Members and non-members (pay and play) can book courts online via https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/ManorRoadTennisClub There will be a special Wimbledon finals weekend of social tennis taking place this Saturday and Sunday for all members (adults and juniors) and anyone thinking of becoming a member; bookings not required.
This will commence at 1pm on both days and include TV coverage in the rugby clubhouse of the Wimbledon women’s final on Saturday from 2pm and the men’s final on Sunday from 2pm. The bar and Halfway House will be open for refreshments and everyone is welcome.
