A TALENTED kart racer is looking towards the next chapter of his sporting story.
Riley Matthews, 12, from Woolston is an avid member at TeamSport Go Karting Warrington, seeking a way to break into outdoor competitive Karting.
The Kings Academy student has been hooked on karting since first visiting the Bank Quay Trading Estate venue for a friend's birthday party.
And he found out he is rather good at it.
Riley's recent experience includes taking part in the British Indoor Karting Championship for two years running and progressing to final stages of the X-Kart scholarship programme, which he has achieved through demonstrating many key attributes required to join the X-Kart team including kart appreciation, showing respect to other drivers and track staff, good media and interviewing skills as well as successful qualifying lap times.
Along with this, Riley was the 2022 Warrington Cadet League winner in Warrington.
To raise funds he has been collecting used drinks cans to recycle, with the money made from recycling helping him to follow his dreams of breaking into the outdoor karting world.
Collecting cans is Riley's own way to show his commitment and determination to funding his dream, but it is not enough.
Riley is looking for sponsorship to fast-track his progress to the start line.
He is committed not only to reaching the chequered flag but representing a company's branding and inviting sponsors to track days while building a partnership for future success.
If you can help, contact Riley's dad Paul on 07969 285160.
