JOE Talbot will look to build on a promising round one in the 2023 BSB Superstock 1000.
The former Lymm High School student will head to Oulton Park next weekend, having set some new benchmarks at Silverstone earlier this month.
Talbot, 19, who has changed to a Honda Fireblade this year after a few years on the Kawasaki, qualified in sixth position.
He got the fastest lap and the lap record in race one before finishing P6, which placed him in his first ever pole position.
Talbot finished race two in P4, which is his best result in Stock 1000 to date.
He left round one in P5 in the Championship.
Talbot said: “Silverstone round one was a solid start to the year for me, not really being my strongest track.
“I’m really happy with the way the weekend panned out and am looking forward to Oulton Park.
“Just hope we find a good set-up, as we have never been on the Honda there, so we will see, but feeling good going into round two.”
