WITH England facing France in a mammoth World Cup quarter final on Saturday, plenty of clubs are likely to seek to move forward kick-off times for their weekend fixtures.
However, it is understood games involving Warrington Town and Warrington Rylands will remain as scheduled.
Following last night’s 3-0 win over Senegal, the Three Lions set up a huge clash with the defending champions in Qatar which will kick off at 7pm UK time.
As a result, some games in both the professional and semi-professional leagues have seen their kick-off times moved forward to lunchtime from the usual 3pm.
Both of our Northern Premier League sides have lengthy away trips on Saturday – Town are due in Northumberland to face Morpeth Town while Rylands head south to Lincolnshire to visit Gainsborough Trinity – meaning players and fans of both sides face a race against time to be home for kick off.
The Guardian approached both clubs about any potential change of plans and as it stands, both games will remain as 3pm kick offs.
Rylands moved the kick off time of their home game against Nantwich Town last weekend to 1pm to avoid a potential clash with England’s last-16 game.
