SAMOA are set to be without their captain for Saturday’s Rugby League World Cup semi-final against England.
Junior Paulo has been hit with a one-match penalty notice by the tournament’s Match Review Panel for a Grade A striking offence.
The Parramatta Eels prop was cited for leading into a carry with his forearm during yesterday’s quarter-final win over Tonga at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Paulo has until 11am tomorrow to submit an appeal but as it stands, he misses the last-four clash at the Emirates Stadium.
However, star full-back Joseph Sua’ali’i is clear to play having been handed a caution by the panel.
Sua’ali’i was put on report during the first half for raising his knee when going into a tackle.
