WARRINGTON Rylands have bolstered their ranks with a loan signing the town’s football fans may be familiar with.

Blues have confirmed midfielder Dylan Vassallo will spend the next month at Gorsey Lane having joined on loan from National League North side Southport.

His name may be familiar from a four-year spell at neighbours Warrington Town between 2016 and 2020 in which he made 110 appearances, scoring 12 goals.

Vassallo is likely to go straight into the Blues squad to face Matlock Town at Gorsey Lane on Saturday.

Following Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat at Lancaster City – their first loss in seven matches – Jody Banim’s side sit ninth in the Northern Premier League Premier Division table.
