WARRINGTON Town can once again count on the services of left-back Eddie Clarke.

The 23-year-old has re-joined Mark Beesley’s squad and is available to make his second debut for the club against Gainsborough Trinity tonight.

Clarke, who played in the professional ranks for both Tranmere Rovers and Fleetwood Town, first joined Town in 2020 and was a key part of the squad that reached the Northern Premier League Premier Division play-off final last season.

In total, he has made 26 appearances for Town thus far, scoring twice.

He was offered terms to remain as part of the squad in the summer but suffered a serious injury while on trial with a full-time club.

Since then, he has been undergoing his rehab with the Yellows squad and now he has regained full fitness, he is available for action.

Clarke’s re-signing boosts the depth of a Town squad that is starting to feel the pinch with injuries.

Forwards Jordan Buckley, Isaac Buckley-Ricketts and Mikey Howard will be unavailable for a lengthy period while defender Tom Hannigan and midfielder Stefan Mols are nursing knocks.

Skipper Josh Amis is also still recovering from illness while midfielder Bohan Dixon starts a three-game suspension tonight.
