WARRINGTON-BORN cricketer Rob Jones has signed a two-year contract extension with Lancashire Cricket.
Jones, 26, is a graduate of the Lancashire Cricket Academy who has progressed to establish himself as a First Team regular.
The batter, who represented England at under 19 level, currently has two First-Class centuries and six fifties and also averages just short of 40 in T20 cricket after enjoying an extended run in the Lancashire Lightning XI during the last couple of summers.
The renewed terms will see Jones remain at Emirates Old Trafford until at least the end of the 2023 season.
Jack Blatherwick, Danny Lamb and Luke Wells have also joined Jones in signing new two year contracts.
Director of Cricket Performance, Mark Chilton said: “Rob Jones and Danny Lamb have become important players in our squad across all three formats and it is great to have two Academy graduates commit their futures to the Club for at least another two seasons.
“We have also been really pleased with the additions of Jack Blatherwick and Luke Wells who both put their hands up to put in some really important performances for us towards the end of last season and we look forward to them continuing to do that for us into next season and beyond.”
