The Warrington Golf Club team celebrate their victory
THERE is another trophy to celebrate at Warrington Golf Club.
As the best of East Cheshire's ladies hosted their West Cheshire counterparts in a series of matches at Romiley Golf Club, the Warrington team were dominant winners in the Plate final.
In what was the final match of the day, they got off to a flier against opponents Tytherington with wins for Jo Carpen, Barbara Bradley and captain Judith Brown.
The teams's final three players – Rachel Bailey, Morag Hales and Penny Sadler – all then won their matches to confirm victory.
The team captains were presented with their trophies by Cheshire captain Frances Gell.
